Industry players, manufacturers, suppliers, entrepreneurs, and consumers with a focus and penchant for Halal cosmetics and personal care products are invited to track the latest status in industry, its trend, market opportunities, Halal certification process, product requirements, and much more.

Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi will deliver a keynote address at Halal Cosmetics and Personal Care: In Trend, paving insights for the industry and market, and the role of government support.

Entrepreneur and entertainer Datuk Siti Nurhaliza will also make an appearance.

“Halal” refers to what is permitted or lawful in Islam, and it’s most often used in reference to food when it is slaughtered and/or prepared in a way that adheres to the Syariah Law – pure and clean.

However, Halal cosmetics/personal care sees a newer phenomenon, with small companies starting to identify their products as adhering to Islamic principles as Muslim consumers are more aware of an alternative and non-Muslims are attracted to safer and “ethical” products.

Special focus in knowledge sharing will see panelists from Clara International Beauty Group, Mazaya Divine beauty from Indonesia, and Al-Meswak Al-Mu’min expounding on “Economy Behind Beauty”.

Apart from the learning session on emerging trends and the latest scenario for Halal cosmetics and personal care industry, a fascinating product showcase will be featured concurrently by reputable companies such as Clara International, SimplySiti, Shiseido Malaysia, Sendayu Tinggi and Forest’Secret.

Grooming workshops by a Malaysian fashion designer and make-up demonstration by Sendayu Tinggi Holdings are among the highlights.

Registration is free and opened to industry players, entrepreneurs, manufacturers, suppliers as well as consumers. To register for the full-day programme, please log on to – -http://halalcosmetics.hdcglobal.com/registrationform.php.
